From Gatsby.js to Webflow: A New Era for a Trusted Brand
Lewis Mohr’s previous website was an early innovator — built on Gatsby.js and ahead of its time for performance. But after seven years, updating content and adding functionality had become increasingly difficult.
Cary & Co. rebuilt the site in Webflow, combining enterprise-level speed with easy content management and future-proof scalability.

The final site includes 150+ pages, all dynamically powered by custom Webflow CMS collections for services, blogs, locations, and insurance categories. Every component is designed for growth — new cities, blog posts, or insurance offerings can be added in minutes without developer involvement.
Dynamic CMS Design and Content Architecture
A major improvement was the interlinked content ecosystem that connects blogs, insurance offerings, and service areas. Each blog post dynamically references related services, allowing visitors to read educational content and seamlessly explore relevant insurance options.
Conditional visibility ensures clean presentation — if a connection doesn’t exist, the layout adapts automatically. The result is a site that feels alive — constantly surfacing the most relevant and useful information without feeling automated.
Refreshed Brand Identity and Local Personality
To keep Lewis Mohr’s legacy intact while positioning it for the future, Cary & Co. refined the visual identity. The logo was shortened from Lewis Mohr Insurance Agency to Lewis Mohr, creating a cleaner, more identifiable mark. The color palette shifted from a brighter blue to a deeper, timeless navy — balancing professionalism with trust. Typography moved to Inter, chosen for its readability and versatility across screens. Every design choice reinforced the brand’s local philosophy — fresh, approachable, and distinctly Louisiana.

SEO, Structure, and Schema
The new Webflow build prioritized SEO from the start.
Cary & Co. implemented structured data for LocalBusiness, Article, Author, Service, and other schema types, improving search visibility and alignment with Google’s E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) principles. Content is clearly attributed to industry experts, reinforcing credibility in both traditional search and AI-generated summaries.
The site also features improved search capabilities, allowing visitors to quickly find insurance information and blog resources by keyword or category.

Performance and Technical Optimization
While the old Gatsby site was fast, the new Webflow site was designed to be faster to maintain and smarter to load.
Every page is optimized with AVIF image compression, async video loading, and carefully tuned Core Web Vitals:
- 0 cumulative layout shift
- Speed Index under 2 seconds on mobile
- 100/100 in Accessibility and SEO

Rather than chasing perfect Lighthouse scores at the expense of UX, Cary & Co. balanced optimization with real-world usability — prioritizing perceived speed and smooth interaction over benchmarks alone.
Conversion Tracking and Analytics Infrastructure
The rebuild also introduced robust conversion tracking and measurement.
Using Google Tag Manager (GTM) and GA4, Cary & Co. implemented event tracking for quote form submissions and click-to-call actions, enabling the agency to measure how users engage at every step of the journey.
This infrastructure lays the foundation for deeper funnel analysis, giving the marketing team actionable data to refine campaigns and better understand ROI from both paid and organic channels.
Social Proof and Community Trust
To strengthen credibility, the site integrates over 200 verified customer reviews displayed across multiple touchpoints — on the homepage, the dedicated Reviews page, and the primary Get Insurance CTA page.

Additional trust signals, including industry awards and certifications, were added to the footer to further reinforce reliability and expertise.
Built to Last
The new Lewis Mohr website was designed with longevity in mind — built to evolve alongside technology and customer expectations for years to come.
For users, the experience is faster, clearer, and more intuitive. For the client, it’s a scalable platform that’s easy to update and deeply integrated with their marketing systems.
The result is a modern, future-ready foundation that stays true to what makes Lewis Mohr special — a local agency with a national-level digital presence.
